Labor

As soon as your labor starts because your water broke, or you get contractions, you can inform me. When it is clear that the birth really started, and you need support from the doula I will be there to support you on a social-emotional and physical level. I will either actively or passively support you.

My support includes encouraging words, massage, helping you move or simply holding your hand and supporting your partner to support you. The more peace, calmness and confidence there is, the more your hug hormone can do its job. By moving around, you ensure the process remains in motion. I do not provide any medical contribution. When you give birth in the hospital there will be a team of professionals, including a gynecologist, an obstetrician, nurses, maternity nurses and or doctors in training to take care of the medical side.

With a home birth, the obstetrician will be present as much as possible. The doula is a good support because the midwife cannot be present continuously.
The most important thing is that you are supported … cherished …… and heard. Feel safe and trusted. I stay with you until your baby is born until after the golden hour.

Although birth is only one day in the life of a woman, it has an imprint on her for the rest of her life.
